The Immigration Legal Counsel position, located in Disciples Home Missions, is funded by several General Ministries, Racial/Ethnic Ministries, Regions, and your Week of Compassion offerings. Thank you for making our work possible!
Services
Immigration Legal Counsel
For Disciples Pastors
We provide full representation to Disciples regions and churches petitioning for pastors in nonimmigrant religious worker cases (R-1 visas) and special immigrant religious worker cases (green cards for religious workers).
There are no attorneys’ fees charged for these services (however, government filing fees still apply).

For Disciples Immigrants
If you are a Disciples pastor seeking help for yourself or for others, please call or email us directly. Other individuals, please contact your pastor and ask them to connect us.
We will arrange a time when we can speak together by phone or video conference in English or Spanish. During that call we will listen to the details of your situation and provide some initial advice. All consultations are confidential.
Depending on the nature of the case, we will either accept your case for full representation or help you to find appropriate local legal counsel.

Talking to a lawyer can be scary and intimidating, but I hope that you will find the opposite in working with me. I welcome your call or inquiry for any question because the only silly question is the one that is never asked! Also, I will be the first to tell you if I do not know the answer, and then I will do my best to research and find the answer as soon as possible.
